Fox River Dental Batavia / Wednesday and or Thursday is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Batavia, IL

Job Overview:

We are a community family practice. We are not corporate. We are looking for an assitant with a coronal polishing certificate. Our office is a fun, friendly, and low stress enviroment. You will look forward to coming to work. Your role will involve assisting with procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe dental environment. If you are passionate about dentistry and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental radiographs (x-rays)

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations

- Provide post-operative instructions to patients

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts

- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe dental environment

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Coronal Polishing Certification Required

- X-ray certification required

- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

- Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix) preferred

- Understanding of medical coding and HIPAA regulations

- Experience with medical imaging techniques (e.g., CAD) is a plus

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work well in a team environment
